In Greek mythology, one of the greatest and most revered heroes was Achilles.   We see him here depicted in a defiant posture, having been insulted by King Agamemnon, refusing to return to the Siege of Troy.  His muscular figure is highlighted in poslished silver with a dark, burnished, antique background.
